This tour is available as a shared tour or Private tour. 

A shared tour offers solo travellers and individuals the opportunity to join a group of people on the same tour. There is no single supplement, no minimum amount of people required to book. Shared tours still offer private ensuite accomodation. Our shared tours depart daily, so feel free to book for whichever day you like. The price of a shared tour is fixed....the price you book for is the price you pay!

The route starts from Marrakech and then travels over the Atlas mountains to Ait Benhaddou for the Kasbah. The route then continues onto Ouarzazate. From Ouarzazate, we then take the N10 road east through Skoura, the Dades valley and stay overnight in the valley. From there, we continue the next day along the N10 through the Dades gorge, Boumalne,  Todra and the Todra gorge, Tinghir. We then continue onto Erfoud and then to Merzouga. From Merzouga, we take a 1 and a half hour camel trek into the desert dunes, enjoying the sunset to reach our desert camp at Erg Chebbi. The next day, we take the camels back to Merzouga, rejoin the vehicle and then take the N12 West through to Rissani, Tazzarine and through to Zagora.

In Zagora, we join our Camels and desert guide to ride into the dunes for about 1 hour or so to reach Erg Chegaga, where we will stay in our Berber desert camp for the night.

The following Morning, we take the camels back to Zagora and then drive through the Draa valley to Ouarzazate, back over the atlas mountains via Ait Ben Haddou and onto Marrakech.

Pricing notes:

When booking a private tour, There is a minimum requirement of paying for 5 people.

If your Private tour booking includes Children aged 5 years or older, then you only need to book seperately for these IF the total number of people you are booking for exceeds 5.

 

Example: 

When booking a private tour for 2 adults and 3 children aged over 5 years, you simply book the minimum requirement of 5 adults.

When booking a private tour for 3 adults and 1 child aged over 5 years, you simply book the minimum requirement of 5 adults.

When booking a private tour for 4 adults and no children, you book for 5 adults.

When booking for 10 adults and 2 children aged 5 years or older, you book for 10 adults and 5 children aged 5 years or older.

The route starts from Marrakech and then travels over the Atlas mountains to Ait Benhaddou for a visit to the Kasbah. The route then continues onto Ouarzazate, where, time permitting, we can have a visit to the Famous Film studios.

From Ouarzazate, we then take the N10 road east through Skoura, the Dades valley and stay overnight in a guesthouse with private ensuite rooms, and enjoy an evening meal on the terrace (Vegetarians are catered for), overlooking the valley.

From there, after breakfast, we continue the next day along the N10 through the Dades gorge, Boumalne,  Todra and the Todra gorge, Tinghir. We then continue onto Erfoud and then to Merzouga.

From Merzouga, we take a 1 and a half hour camel trek into the desert dunes, enjoying the sunset to reach our desert camp at Erg Chebbi.

During the evening we can relax and enjoy a Tagine or Couscous (vegetarians are catered for) besides the fire, explore the dunes and enjoy a drum party.

Accomodation is in private Berber tents, with full bedding supplied.

There are washing and toilet facilities on site.

The next day, at sunrise, after a hot cup of minty tea. we ride the camels back to Merzouga, whilst watching the Sun rise over the sand.  We then enjoy breakfast and a chance to wash and then rejoin the vehicle and then take the N12 West through to Rissani, Tazzarine and through to Zagora.

 

In Zagora, we join our Camels and desert guide to ride into the dunes for about 1 hour or so to reach Erg Chegaga, where we will stay in our Berber desert camp for the night.

Again, we enjoy the evening in the camp (private tents, all bedding supplied, evening meal, washing and toilet facilities provided)

The following Morning, at Sunrise, we take the camels back to Zagora and then drive through the Draa valley to Ouarzazate, back over the atlas mountains via Ait Ben Haddou and onto Marrakech.

We arrive back in Marrakech at approximately 18:00hrs.

For cancellations within 7 days of your tour date: 100% of the balance is charged.
For no shows: 100% of the balance is charged.

For the Shared tour, the tour starts from Marrakech Guillez.
For private tours, the tour picks up from your accomodation in Marrakech.

The tour returns to the Marrakech Guillez.
